School this week...

Well this week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and I feel appreciated. The kids brought in different gifts each day of the week. Flowers, fruit, candy, cards, & anything "extra." Well, they went above and beyond:
We even received 4 more bouquets after this picture.
On Fruit Day, I snapped a picture of ALMOST all the bunches of bananas Jan (my parapro) received. I got about 7 or 8 boxes of strawberries.
On Thursday, our school had our first International Night. It was so much fun! We had a huge amount of food, from all over the world. Delicious! Also everyone wore clothes from their native country. Here's a picture of my student Esther and her mom, Gloria, from Ghana:

We then had entertainment. Esther sang "Amazing Grace." It was so beautiful!!

My former student, Zoey, performed a traditional Chinese dance. After the school festivities, my former student, Valentina (middle), invited me home with her and her family. I LOVE this family. If I weren't moving, I'd have Sofie next year in K. I went home with them and was treated like royalty! I was given so much Columbian food!!!

Ok- all I got for teacher appreciation week was a flower off a bush outside and a bottle of soap. Where's the love?! :)
